I would like to dive during the week this spring - summer- fall.  I am a full time firefighter and I work on a 24 hr schedual off 48, if anyone is looking for someone to dive with and it as long as it does not conflict with my schedual please let me know or maby we can schedual some days in the future.  I like to dive on the weekends as well-sometimes crowded and water visibility is not as good. Kevin

I'm up for diving this summer...maybe late spring.  I am not fond of my 7mm suit so I like to go when it warms up more.

I lost my usual dive buddy since we had a falling out so I am in need of someone or people to dive with.

Good afternoon Kevin,
I can go during the week, so look as your work schedule and let me know.
Wil you be diving a re breather or open circuit ?

Shannon, what don't you like about your 7 mm and what brand is it?  I am about to buy a 7 mm I am a beginger, just started last fall.  I now have a 3/2 suit and that won't handle the cold.  I plann  on starting just before June if the water gets up above 50 something.  Thank you for your reply.

It's an old Henderson Farmer John, and I find it restrictive.  I haven't found any 7mm that doesn't squeeze my chest (I'm a girl) to the point where I find it hard to breathe.  I don't want to drop $400+ on a new one like a hyperstretch since I'd rather save up and go dry at some point (eventually moving to Southern California).

I'm much more of a fan of my 3/2 one piece that I wear in the warm months (not to the deep hole) because I can move, breathe, and feel much more comfortable all around.

always looking for someone to dive with, where are you located, certs.  Have a dive boat so locations vary depending on time of week.

i would suggest the Bare 7/6, picked one up not to long ago and love it, enough stretch to be comfortable, and non-restrictive. since I do mostly midwest lake dives, keeps me warm at depth.

I am certed up to Rescue, and I'm out of Champaign.  I don't know about the other guys here.

I have family in the Chicago area so travel up that way isn't a problem.

The bare suit, is it a 1 or 2 piece farmer john?

the bare suit is 1 piece, with extra long pull for back zipper, have it on and zipped in short order no tightness issues

Anyone game for a couple dives this Saturday and/or Sunday at Haigh Quarry? My fiance is doing her certification dives and I wouldn't mind brushing up before we hit Hawaii in a couple weeks.

I live in Kankakee and teach at Olivet Nazarene University (so I am off for the summer).  I am open to dive just about any time (etc. Sunday morning) - so if you need a buddy - just email me (or call at (815) 937-4521).
