7/10/2007 		I am looking for a dive buddy for Sunday, 29 July. 

I would prefer meeting when the gates open and jump in for two or three dives.  I have been to this quarry once before and explored the side of the quarry with the rock crusher.  This time I would like to go to the deeper side.  Post here or email me at quartermaster96@hotmail.com if you are interested.

6/11/2007 		My dive buddy and I usually go up on Sunday mornings, but I'm not sure if we would be there when the gates open to dive that early with you.  I'd have to be up at 5:30 to make it  ;D .

There's a shop called Dive Right In that sets up a tent with a big banner.  They usually have people who can be dive buddies.  They're nice guys, and most of them have lots of training/experience.  They usually beat me there so they might be there when the gates open. 

There's some cool rock formations and fish guarding their territories on the other side of the quarry from the rock crusher.  There's a downed tree and a metal thing that looks like a door frame just to the right of the shore and you can usually find a muskie haning out over by it.

Thank you for responding so quickly.  I understand the long drive statement … I am driving from Davenport Iowa.  The only difference is I am planning on driving to Kankakee the night before and spending the night in a hotel. 

If you get there and find some lost soul (me) wondering around looking for a buddy then please show a little mercy and let me join the group.

I dove with Dive Right In Scuba today.  What a great bunch of people!!!  John and Casey were there and took me right on in.  Thanks a million for the tip.

6/11/2007 		Glad you had a good time!  I was home nursing a raging ear infection so I didn't get to dive at all.  :'(

I'm hoping it will be gone by this coming weekend so I can try out some of my new gear.
