I was diving today and I had a fish question about one/some of the catfish in the quarry. I knew there was at least one albino catfish and I saw it today over by one of the docks. Later I was over by the rock crusher and the general vicinity and I saw another one. I'm pretty sure the one from the docks didn't cruise out to the rock crusher with us. Also, the one from the docks was a true albino with pink eyes, where as, the one by the rock crusher seemed to have dark eyes.
Has anyone else seen more than one albino catfish?

There are, in fact, two different albino catfish at the quarry. I had to cheat and ask Tina. Took some pictures of the one by the rock crusher on Saturday, but the vis. was low so I don't know how they turned out until I get them developed.
Would have had a great picture of one of the pike (All close-up and framed well), but I ran out of stupid film... If/When I buy my own underwater camera it will be digital and have a HUGE memory card.

Hey Shannon....I have yet to see the pike out there (won't even mention the paddlefish). Where were you when you saw it?

I have seen the northern's in about 30 to 35 ft of water out on the left side of the quary ( as you look into the Quary) Have seen them hanging out in the weeks at the bottom.

I saw one right off the beach in that area that has the fallen tree and the thing that looks like a metal rectangle. The fish was back under the tree branches.
I also saw one along the wall over by the far dock. I'm not sure what depth sinc it was a while ago, but it had to be above the thermocline because I only had a 3mm on.

I saw one yesterday in the shallows between the two metal platforms. There is no question on how large that baby is, or more importantly, how fast it can move. We managed to follow it over to the wooden platform before it just vaporized into a giant cloud of grey crap.

JC is that you? Damn rental fins. If someone (not mentioning any names Jeff) didn't drop my fin strap I might have been able to get over there and see it too. But it was a good dive either way.

I've seen the Albinos us in the shallows when we were getting ready to go in for one of our night dives. It was cool because they followed the light and sprung on the fish.
