I have an update of water temperatures
At the LARC 40 feet is 46 degrees
In the 20 foot area it is a comfortable 59 degrees.
Visibility is still excellent (that is for a quarry) 35 feet.

How often do temps and vis get updated on your web? Looks like it's been a while. It is a great planning tool. Any chance I can get more current info? Thanks!!!

Hi,
I agree, I'm looking forward to the July 15th dive. It would be great if someone could post the current temps and visibility.
Thanks,
John

I was there this past weekend and the water was slightly warmer than the website currently lists. I can't recall teh exact temps of the top of my head. I was wearing 7mil farmer johns with a hood and was quite warm above the thermocline, and comfortable below. I should have had gloves on, but it wasn't to bad.
The viz was pretty good below the thermocline and in the deeper areas. The shallows had people kicking up silt and plant matter, but you could still see a good distance. I'm a horrible judge of distance out of the water, so I can't even speculate under the water.
Hope my vagueness helps some. ;D

Hey guys,
I haven't been up to Haigh in 3 weeks which is why the temps haven't been updated. If Tina posts the temps here or someone else that has updated temps I will update them on the site.

I think we need some updating on this one... I was out there today, and the temp was about 80-85 in the morning and the viz was maybe 15-20 ft. That's if you were one of the firsts in and not too many of the open water classes were out there yet. We were only there until about 11 am though 8).
